What great hair! And he might even be related to aldous huxley. I was staying in this hotel in bristol when i saw him wandering outside reading some "ecnonomates" as i like to call it.

I didn't have the fortune to do jurisprudence on my course, but this was a great lecture. I was talking to someone the other night who was marvelling at Professor Rivers' ability to take really abstract, difficult ideas and make them not only accessible, but memorable.

No chance his talk was recorded and is available online somehow?

Gervas is a legend. Not much more needs to be said..

Since I graduated over 5 years ago I've bumped into a anumber of UoB Economics students and all will inevitably mention Gervas in their recollections. He was engaging, challenged our thinking and highly entertaining. When I think back to my economics lectures at Bristol I always remember the insights and fun from Gervas' lectures.
